Relationships are everything. We've heard this before. What helps a relationship grow and thrive? I believe that honest communication, non-judgmental patience and 'smard' work helps us keep our professional and personal relationships move in a flow of mutual growth, rewarding challenges and self-actualized validation. Communication with authentic and honest expression of thoughts and feelings. Patience to be tolerant of diversity, differences and others' perspectives. "Smard" work is a combination of smart + hard work, helping to achieve efficiency in accomplishing goals, objectives and the purpose that drives ourselves and humanity as a collective forward.
I engage people on the simple premise that humans are alike the world over. With that understanding, I like to use aspirational, fun and accessible language. I see a distinction between speaking and talking.
I like to remain in an active lifestyle and enjoy jogging, walking, weight-lifting, dancing, martial arts and walking some more.

In Buddhist philosophy there is a koan said before meditation that speaks to both the internalization of individual growth and the manifest externalities of intuition. We are in search of our own enlightenment and the Buddha points in that direction, but s/he is not enlightenment in himself. "If you see the Buddha on the road, kill him".
Stefan Sagmeister, Paula Scher, Milton Glazer and Paul Rand (and sometimes Chipp Kidd, Frank Gehry, Rem Koolhas, Frank Lloyd Wright, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Henri Matisse, Noma Bar, Martin Woodtli) are some designers, artists, illustrators, architects and photographers who inspire me and are all individual creative bodhisattvas, pointing toward the direction of design enlightenment. I find new people to take inspiration from (constantly learning) and believe in worship is an individual and private matter.
When I work independently, I expect to focus on my tasks (generated from client/collaborative group-thinking) and to challenge myself to use my skills to achieve the goal. When we challenge ourselves to either build our skills or perform at or beyond our potential, we find ourselves in a ‘golden zone’ of Csikszentmihalyi’s “Optimal Experience.”
Design is the culmination of form and function. If it’s beautiful without working, it’s a pretty object. If it performs without aesthetic, it fails to integrate to our daily lives. I like to adopt the adage of Frank Lloyd Wright, “form and function are one.”
Client psychology is focused on one main goal: to achieve the success latent inside the relationship between design vendor and their project (whether internally funded or externally funded).
I do my best to clearly and communicatively explain my process to clients, including my working process, delivery schedule, project phases and feedback phases as well as payment schedules and ethical rules of conduct. By being as clear and forward in the beginning of a project, I set the foundation for an informed and easily manageable process.
When we write, our brain receives our writings differently than when we read.
“When we write, a unique neural circuit is automatically activated,” said Stanislas Dehaene, a psychologist at the Collège de France in Paris. “There is a core recognition of the gesture in the written word, a sort of recognition by mental simulation in your brain.
Similarly, I believe that even though you are reading this through crafted words on a keyboard transferred through data centers worldwide, there's a place for handwriting and handwork involving memory, personal growth and profound impressions.
